Lumiere is a small fifty seat restaurant with a small bar with four stools. Located in a corner store front in Newton, it is modestly decorated in classic style (white trim, oak flooring, burgundy red accents), comfortable, clean, and classic. The food is French and the setting is romantic. Parking is difficult on Washington Street but you can find ample parking in the back of the restaurant where you will find free and metered lots.

They have been lauded for their desserts, especially the grape sorbet.

Wellesley Lower Falls spot, offering Chinese food from chef/owner C.K. Sau, formerly of Chinatown's New Shanghai. There is a small parking lot next to the restaurant, but street parking may be easier. Hunan crispy whole fish, seared sea scallops in black pepper sauce ^[3] This restaurant also serves a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which range from standard (Buddhist’s Delight) to interesting (Vegetarian Goose). Food is served in a casual but classy setting, with take out service available. This place is heralded as one of Wellesley’s best and most authentic Chinese restaurants.

There is a lack of seating, but what they do have is very nice and comfortable. Fancy and overpriced bakery, but if you can afford it then it's worth stopping in. The menu for lunch is slightly limited but diverse enough for everyone to find something they want. Yummy raspberry shortbread squares, carrot cake, lemon cookies, and brownies. All first rate. Charming spot, helpful staff, just take out, but there is a nice bench outside the door. If you're looking for something special for someone, the gift baskets are AMAZING.

With its standing-room only crowds of noisy families and young couples filling the colorful dining areas and welcoming bar, a weekend visit to Firefly's is not for the faint of heart. Those looking for a more relaxed environment in which to enjoy the restaurant's award-winning barbecue stop by on much calmer weeknights, or take their food to go. Overwhelmed servers try their best to keep the clamorous masses content.

Take notice of the restaurant's two all you can eat specials: unlimited chicken and ribs on Monday nights, and a barbecue buffet brunch on Sundays (from 11:30am-2:30pm). The bar features $2 pints of PBR at all times.
